Since 2013, MRS Ortho, LLC has represented multiple companies in the orthopedic industry primarily focused in the foot and ankle. In 2021, MRS expanded its offerings to include additional Sports Medicine and Biologics products to the portfolio. We offer our surgeon customers the latest in technological and innovative orthopedic solutions. As a limited liability company described in the medical device industry as an “Independent Agent or Distributor,” we operate as the sales arm but do not manufacture any of the products we represent.

Our sales team is extensively trained in the clinical use and surgical application of the products we sell and dedicated to providing first-class customer service. Our passion is to be a vital and relevant resource for our surgeon customers and their patients.

Our Team


Charley Redden – Partner

Charley Redden graduated from Southwest Texas in 1997 and followed his wife to Dallas. He started in the orthopedic sales industry in 1999. Over the past 24 years, Charley has been responsible for over 100M dollars in sales.  In 2013 cofounded MRS Ortho with Jason Mast as an opportunity to create a company that’s main focus is in the extremities market.  Charley believes the extremities market is where the most innovative technology is and is often heard saying, “It’s a lifestyle, not a career”.

Jason Mast – Partner

Jason started in the industry in 2008, focusing on Total Ankle and Shoulder arthroplasty. Working with Local design surgeons for STAR ankle working in the Premarket Approval and finally awarded FDA approval in May 2009. Once the FDA approval was finalized, driving the STAR ankle to over 200 cases a year until it was purchased by Stryker in July 2014. Jason also worked with Exactech Equinox and assisted with GPS computer navigation system. Working with 2 local design surgeons in bringing the 1st to market shoulder arthroplasty Computer navigated device in May 2017. Jason has worked with systems like Link Bio Mega C, and Zimmer Biomet OSS Orthopedic Salvage System and assisted in countless Custom implant designs in the limb salvage industry.

Seeing the need for an innovative F&A product, Jason Mast joined Charley Redden and Dustin Steen To start M.R.S. Ortho in 2014. Starting with 1 products line ( Solana surgical ). Fast forward to 2023 and they have built a class leading Extremity distibutorship in the DFW marketplace.

Trevor Hegarty – Extremities Manager

Trevor Hegarty is originally from Ireland, where he worked in the building sales industry for 22 years, then moved to Texas in 2014. Trevor has been the sales manager at MRS Ortho since 2019 and loves to work with the MRS Ortho gang on a daily basis.

In his spare time, he loves music, cycling, Lego, and soccer, and coaches his son’s soccer team, the Lucky Charms. He lives in Dallas with his wife Julie, daughter Lauren and son David.

Melinda Barker – Ortho Rep

Melinda Barker started in this business in 2010, she sold Exactech hip, knees and shoulder devices. She transferred into the foot and ankle market after 2 1/2 years and thrived in the total ankle business. Since then she has continued to build a great network of surgeons and growing her business over the years.

Benny Zavadsky – Ortho Rep

A transplant from overseas, Ben has called Dallas, Texas, his home since 2014. Ben enjoys exploring the outdoors with his children and arts and culture with his wife in his free time.  After high school, Ben studied applied engineering and spent several years in the air force as a Blackhawk Helicopter mechanic. His professional experience has always been engineering-focused, and his current position at MRS Ortho allows him to combine engineering knowledge with a unique personal touch.

Billy Whiteley – Ortho Rep

After graduating from the University of Texas, Billy worked as a licensed athletic trainer and teacher in public education for 27 years.  During his time in education, he worked with 11 teams that won Texas State Championships, as well as many individual State Champions.  During the summers, he worked over 20 years at Longhorns Tennis Camp as an instructor and athletic trainer. Dom DeRenzo – Ortho Rep

Dom’s originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and lived there until college. He attended Pittsburgh Central Catholic High School. Sports have always been a big part of his life. He played basketball, football, and baseball in high school; However, baseball took priority due to colleges showing interest in him to play at the collegiate level. Playing three years at the University of Oklahoma and then transferred to Mercyhurst University for his senior year. After playing four years of collegiate baseball, he had the privilege of playing professionally for four years, graduating from the University of Oklahoma in 2021 with a degree in Multidisciplinary studies.

Jeffery Young – Ortho Rep

Jeffrey grew up in Waco, Texas, and graduated from Texas A&M with a B.A. in biology and minor in music in 2018. He then received his MBA from UTA while becoming a licensed EMT. He then spent a year writing and producing music both for other musicians and for himself under the name Jeff Tunes. Jeffrey joined MRS in November 2022.
